Non-Discrimination Statement

In accordance with Federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, the USDA, its Agencies, offices, and employees, and institutions participating in or administering USDA programs are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity (including gender expression), sexual orientation, disability, age, marital status, family/parental status, income derived from a public assistance program, political beliefs, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity, in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA (not all bases apply to all programs). Compliance at Redwood Community Services, Inc. (RCS) (a continuación en Español) Conformidad-en-Redwood-Community-3-1-15 (Pronto para ser Redwood Community Services, Inc )

The goal of the RCS Compliance Plan is to identify and correct, prevent and reduce non-compliant activities before significant legal and financial exposure occurs. We achieve our goal through our Corporate Compliance Plan which ensures the education of our staff, internal evaluation of our processes, and monitoring activities.

The Compliance Plan is designed, and will be implemented and enforced in order to promote our staff’s understanding of and adherence to state and federal statutes and regulations that are applicable to all RCS programs and the Behavioral Health business, as well as to detect respond to, and prevent violations of those requirements.

The program’s design incorporates the seven elements of compliance recommended by the Office of Inspector General that represent the industry standard for a Compliance Program. They are the following:

• Designate a Compliance Officer and Committee
• Develop and implement compliance and practice standards
• Develop open lines of communication and protect rights of reporters
• Conduct internal monitoring and auditing
• Enforce disciplinary standards through well-publicized guidelines
• Respond appropriately to detect offenses
