Crisis Communication

This training  is an overview of a Crisis Communication model based on a set of principles that focus on maintaining client dignity and keeping people safe by understanding the importance of: professional preparation, motives for assault and the applicable interventions and alternatives, developing and strengthening the skills to identify early interventions and prevent/reduce dangerous and potentially assaultive behavior, providing guidance in recovery, while achieving a consistent and operative client safety plan.
This training is intended for those that work with children and youth within the child welfare system or are at-risk of entering. This includes child welfare workers, resource parents, youth sports coaches, youth mentors, teachers and volunteers/staff working with this population.
