Have you ever been involved in an IEP? The terms, the timelines, and the interventions seem like another language. Although you know that all the participants are there for the benefit of your child’s education, the dizzying pace of the meetings can leave you agreeing to anything just so you don’t seem like the only one in the room who doesn’t speak the language. 

There is a panacea of services available and ready to help your child thrive and succeed in school. Through this training we will break down the steps involved in getting your child the help that is available and the help that they need. When you become part of the team in advocating for your child you join with teachers and school personnel in securing a more successful academic future for you child.

This training is intended for those that work with children and youth within the child welfare system or are at-risk of entering. This includes child welfare workers, resource parents, youth sports coaches, youth mentors, teachers and volunteers/staff working with this population.
