Training will include selected readings from the book titled Counting Down; A Memoir of Foster Parenting and Beyond written by Deborah Gold. Facilitated by Carole Loudd, MA you will be led in a group discussion at each session relating the reading to your experience fostering.
This book allows the caregiver the opportunity to read and then discuss the material with other caregivers to recognize the universality of the fostering experience, especially parenting traumatized children; their birth families and the child welfare system.

Attendance at all sessions is highly encouraged. Participants will receive training hour credit only for sessions attended. Books will be mailed upon registration.
