Awareness. Approaches. Alternatives. This training is meant for anyone teaching and supporting students who have experienced trauma. It covers what trauma is, the effects of trauma on the student, how to support students in the classroom i.e. traditional, virtual and home school classrooms, how to provide a successful learning environment for the student and care for yourself and the student while in the learning environment.
This training is intended for those that work with children and youth within the child welfare system or are at-risk of entering. This includes child welfare workers, resource parents, youth sports coaches, youth mentors, teachers, law enforcement and volunteers/staff working with this population.
