Explaining and Understanding Foster Care for the Younger Child—BOOK CLUB

This training utilizes a children’s book for caregivers to read and discuss in a book club setting, then share with the children who join their families.

Register in time to get the book prior to the meeting, Books will be mailed out.

This is a three part series. Please plan to attend all three sessions. Session occur on Wednesday June 23rd and July7th , at 6pm.

Using the book club format as a training tool.  This particular book, Counting Down: A memoir of foster parenting and beyond.   This allows the caregiver  the opportunity to read and then discuss the material with other caregivers to recognize the universality of the fostering experience, especially parenting traumatized children; their birth families and the child welfare system.
