Trainees will be taught the common signs and symptoms of vicarious trauma and compassion fatigue and learn how to recognize it in themselves and others. Having this knowledge will bring awareness and ability to identify and interrupt the progression of vicarious trauma and compassion fatigue to allow successful client-staff relationships and increase staff retention in the helping profession.
