Description: Redwood Community Service wishes to express our gratitude and acknowledge all indigenous people, on whose land we live, learn, teach, and share knowledge with. With that, we are honored to provide the communities we serve with this new training on the topic of supporting Native American Youth in Foster Care. This training will cover important aspects of Native American history and how to support Native American youth in foster care by focusing on preserving their cultural identity. The training will provide participants with knowledge and resources to engage youth in their traditional cultural activities and beliefs such as connecting them with mentors and tribal elders, attend native ceremonies, supporting traditional dress, cooking traditional foods and listening to traditional music…
