With the end of summer staff have focused on getting young adults settled into their housing and getting registered for classes at Mendocino Community College. We have 20 housed young adults, as well as over 250 that are receiving therapy, case management, rehab and therapeutic services through Outpatient Adult Behavioral Health.
We had several outings to the beach this summer trying to beat the heat. They created wonderful fun filled days that were beneficial to all. The youth enjoy getting out of town for a bit and, of course, the cooler temperatures. They are creating a family feeling environment which gives them a sense of community.
Five of our young adults are working, six are attending school and ILS classes offered at the Arbor, one young woman is both attending school, working full time and a managing as a single mother. She is role model to many!
